The Midland Railway – Butterley will be running trains every day from 5th to 19th April over the Easter Holiday.
The Museum with its revised display, Demonstration Signal Box, Victorian Railwayman’s Church, West Shed Experience, Country Park and model railways will be open and the narrow gauge Golden Valley Light Railway will be running.
There will be a special competition for the younger visitors and plenty to see for all age groups.
Trains will be steam hauled at weekends with the heritage Diesel Multiple Units in use on week days.
Alan Calladine the Midland Railway Trust, Development Officer said, “This will be a great chance to visit the Midland Railway – Butterley and explore the railway’s Museum Complex to see progress on various projects. The new display in the Museum is well worth a visit and a trip on the Golden Valley Light railway is always a delight.”
