Join us as we step back to the 1980s at the Midland Railway – Butterley on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th June.

Visitors will arrive at Butterley Station and will take an iconic train of the 80’s to the Swanwick Junction site.

Once arriving at Swanwick, visitors can be met by THE icon of 80s, Ecto 1 with working lights and sounds!

Along with its very own Ghostbuster.

Plus we have 80s theme arcade with retro arcade games of the era, 80s disco and 80s movie trailer and adverts show in the Church.

Plus, we have a special selection of models from the 1980s show Tugs.

Traction for the weekend will be two HST sets!

43025 & 43159 both fitted with MTU engines & 43048 & 43089 with their VP engines.
Travel along the line where the HST’s will pass each other at Swanwick Junction station. 

Our other attractions will be open at Swanwick Junction which include, children’s play area, Victorian Railwayman’s Church, the West Shed, stationary power, road transport, forklift museum, diesel shed, Butterley park miniature railway, Golden Valley light railway and the Country Park.

Fancy dress in 80’s attire encouraged!
