Visit the Midland Railway – Butterley during Easter for a very special day out. There will be an Easter themed treasure hunt for all children, with a prize for each completed entry form on your return to Butterley Station.
Plus, we are serving Afternoon Tea in Deeleys Victorian Station Tearoom on Easter Sunday and Monday at £10 per person (£15 with a glass of prosecco). These are available on request and there is no need to book!
Today’s trains will be a diesel service.
Trains depart from Butterley at: 11.00am, 11.40am, 12.20pm, 1.00pm, 2.00pm, 2.40pm & 3.20pm.
Get off the train at Swanwick Junction and explore the Museum Complex, where you will be able to visit the Matthew Kirtley Building (Railway Museum), Demonstration Signal Box, Victorian Railwayman’s Church, the West Shed and the Country Park. Other attractions may also be open. (Please note that this is not possible on the 3.20pm departure.)
Trains return from Swanwick Junction at: 11.50am, 12.30pm, 1.10pm, 2.10pm, 2.50pm, 3.30pm & 4.00pm
