“Peaks” Return to Action

This weekend sees the return to action of the classic diesel “Peak” locomotive, D4 “Great Gable”.  D4 will be partnered with D182, working “top and tailed” services.

D4 has been out of service for a number of years and has received extensive restoration in this period, being outshopped in BR Blue livery.

Trains depart from Butterley at:  11.00am, 11.50am, 12.40pm, 2.00pm, 2.50pm & 3.45pm

Get off the train at Swanwick Junction and explore the Museum Complex, where you will be able to visit the children’s play area, Victorian Railwayman’s Church and the Country Park. Other attractions may also be open.

Trains return from Swanwick Junction at:  11.35am, 12.25pm, 1.15pm, 2.35pm, 3.25pm & 4.25pm.
