Travel behind British Rail Class 44 D4.
Join us over the weekend of 24th – 25th June as Class 44 D4 runs with our heritage mark 1 carriages in “Blood and Custard “ livery and experience the way travel used to be with a train ride through the wonderful Derbyshire countryside.
Trains Depart From Butterley At: 11.00am,12.25pm, 2.00pm & 3.20pm
Get off the train at Swanwick Junction and explore the Museum Complex, where you will be able to visit the Demonstration Signal Box, Victorian Railwayman’s Church, the West Shed , GVLR, stationary power building, diesel shed, road transport building and the Country Park.
Butterley Park Miniature Railway will be open Sunday 25th June only.
The Matthew Kirtley Building is currently closed to visitors.
Trains return from Swanwick Junction at: 11.45am, 1.15pm, 2.45pm & 4.00pm.
