Experience the way travel used to be with a train ride through the wonderful Derbyshire countryside on board the Midland Railway – Butterley’s heritage mk1 carriages hauled by Avonside 1919 “Cranford”.
This will be your final chance to see this steam loco at the MR-B before it goes on hire to another heritage railway.

Trains Depart From Butterley At: 11.00am, 12.25pm, 2.00pm & 3.20pm
Get off the train at Swanwick Junction and explore the Museum Complex, where you will be able to visit the Demonstration Signal Box, Victorian Railwayman’s Church and the Country Park. Other attractions may also be open.
Trains return from Swanwick Junction at: 11.45am, 1.15pm, 2.45pm & 4.00pm.
