80080 Returns to Steam joined by the Duchess of Sutherland

After a major overhaul Standard Tank 80080, a BR steam locomotive, is returning to haul passenger trains.  She will shortly be moving to another heritage railway, so do not miss out on this opportunity to travel behind her.

**Breaking News** we are pleased to announce that 80080 will be joined by 6233 The Duchess of Sutherland!*

The 11:00 Butterley departure will be 80080 & 6233 “top and tailed” with 6233 leading out of Butterley.

Then Double headed on 12:25, 14:00 & 15:20 departures from Butterley only. 80080 will be the lead loco to Ironville on each trip, both days! (full running timetable below).

On arrival at Ironville 80080 will run around the train to form “top and tailed” consist for the return leg of the journey.

We hope you enjoy this rare opportunity to capture both PRCLT locomotives together running on home metals!

Trains depart from Butterley at:  11.00am, 12.25pm, 2.00pm & 3.20pm.

Get off the train at Swanwick Junction and explore the Museum Complex, where you will be able to visit the Matthew Kirtley Building (Railway Museum), Demonstration Signal Box, Victorian Railwayman’s Church, the West Shed and the Country Park. Other attractions may also be open.  (Please note that this is not possible on the 3.20pm departure.)

Trains return from Swanwick Junction at:  11.50am, 1.10pm, 2.50pm & 4.00pm.
