April 30 - May 2

Details

Start: 30/04/2022 End: 02/05/2022 Timetable: Timetable B – Diesel Multiple Unit
This event has now passed.

Take a trip down memory lane as we display a selection of original characters models, production props and more from the 1980’s children’s TV series TUGS, all created by the same production team that brought you the original Thomas The Tank Engine TV series.  The display is free to enter and will take place at Swanwick Junction.

Access to the display is via the train from Butterley Station on one of the Midland Railway – Butterley’s heritage Diesel Multiple Units. These trains have really large windows and so there is an excellent view all round. Plus you can see into the cab and see the driver in action, as well as the track ahead.

Trains depart from Butterley at:  11.00am, 11.50am, 12.40pm, 2.00pm, 2.50pm & 3.45pm

When you are at Swanwick Junction you can also explore the Museum Complex, where you will be able to visit the Demonstration Signal Box, Victorian Railwayman’s Church and the Country Park. Other attractions may also be open.

Trains return from Swanwick Junction at:  11.35am, 12.25pm, 1.15pm, 2.35pm, 3.25pm & 4.00pm.
