The Midland Railway – Butterley has appointed a new Marketing and Events Manager. Laura Greaves joins the railway to strengthen its position as one of the area’s leading tourist attractions.
Laura, 33 from the Ripley area will be joining the small team of paid staff based at the heritage railway and will be working towards developing the attractions identity and adding to the successful events.
Starting work at the beginning of a busy season that includes the 175th anniversary of the Midland Railway and the 50th anniversary of the creation of what is now the Midland Railway Trust will give Laura a chance to influence the railways activities over the entire year.
Laura said “It is a really exciting time to join the team here at the Midland Railway – Butterley with the two upcoming anniversaries. I have fond memories of visiting the railway as a child so look forward to contributing to its future.”
