Join us over the weekend of Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd July, for a special running day of the HST 43159 in collaboration with our friends at the 125 Group.

For the first time unveiling its new livery, it is a unique opportunity to ride the loco at the Midland Railway – Butterley.

The operations over the weekend are planned to use our record breaking power cars 43159 (the World’s fastest diesel) and 43048 (the first to operate in preservation at 125mph) with Mark 3 coaches 40741, 41067, 42119. 42120 & 42337.

While on board, visitors can visit the Buffet 125 serving refreshments and snacks throughout the day and enjoy your trip in first class comfort. Shop 125 will also be open with a wide selection including our new 125 Group and Speed Record branded items.

Trains Depart From Butterley At: 11.00am, 11.50am, 12.40pm, 2.00pm, 2.50pm & 3.45pm

Get off the train at Swanwick Junction and explore the Museum Complex, where you will be able to visit Deeleys Tearooms, the Demonstration Signal Box, Victorian Railwayman’s Church and the Country Park. Other attractions may also be open.

Trains return from Swanwick Junction at:  11.35am, 12.25pm, 1.15pm, 2.35pm, 3.25pm & 4.00pm.
