Our flagship LMS 3F 16440 built in 1926 is nearing completion of its restoration.
Join us for 16440’s official launch back into traffic, Saturday 29th & Sunday 30th June 2024 here at Midland Railway – Butterley!
Trains Depart Butterley at – 10:30, 12:00, 13:30, 15:10. 16:15.

Trains depart Swanwick Junction at – 11:30, 13:00, 14:45, 15:50 and 17:00.
Gareth Baker Children’s Author and Patron of Reading is back at the railway for our Jinty Launch and Civil War Weekend! Gareth will be doing story telling sessions at various intervals throughout the day!
The Golden Valley Light Railway at Swanwick Junction will also be operating steam hauled services featuring O&K 7529!
