Details
Take a trip down memory lane as we display a selection of original characters models, production props and more from the 1980’s children’s TV series TUGS.
On 30th September and 1st October, there will be displays at both Butterley and Swanwick Junction including a Spot The Tug trail and activity area, as we celebrate 10 years of Tugs The Exhibition.
Experience the way travel used to be with a train ride through the wonderful Derbyshire countryside on one of the Midland Railway – Butterley’s Diesel hauled heritage trains.
Trains depart from Butterley at: 11.00am, 12.25pm, 2.00pm & 3.20pm
Visitors arriving for the 3:20pm departure will not be able to explore the museum complex at Swanwick Junction. We recommend arriving at Butterley no later than 2:00pm if you wish to look round at Swanwick Junction.
Get off the train at Swanwick Junction and explore the Museum Complex, where you will be able to visit the Demonstration Signal Box, Victorian Railwayman’s Church and the Country Park. Other attractions may also be open.
Trains return from Swanwick Junction at: 11.45am, 1.15pm, 2.45pm & 4.00pm.
