On Saturday 11th June the Singer Owners’ Club will be visiting the Midland Railway-Butterley as part of the Club’s 70th anniversary rally.

About 40 vehicles are expected ranging from the 1920s to the 1970s with cars such as the Singer Le Mans from the 1930’s the Singer Roadster from the 1950’s and the Singer Vogue and Gazelle from the 1960s.  The cars will be on display at Swanwick from 11.00am until about 4.00pm

Train Travel

Experience the way travel used to be with a train ride through the wonderful Derbyshire countryside on one of the Midland Railway – Butterley’s heritage Diesel Multiple Units. These trains have really large windows and so there is an excellent view all round. Plus you can see into the cab and see the driver in action, as well as the track ahead.

Trains depart from Butterley at:  11.00am, 11.50am, 12.40pm, 2.00pm, 2.50pm & 3.45pm

Get off the train at Swanwick Junction and explore the Museum Complex, where you will be able to visit the Demonstration Signal Box, Victorian Railwayman’s Church and the Country Park. Other attractions may also be open.

Trains return from Swanwick Junction at:  11.35am, 12.25pm, 1.15pm, 2.35pm, 3.25pm & 4.00pm.
