Experience the way travel used to be with a train ride through the wonderful Derbyshire countryside on board the Midland Railway – Butterley’s heritage mark 1 carriages in blood & custard livery.

Traction over the weekend will feature our flagship Red Jinty 16440, Eustace Forth no. 15 and BR Class 141113, the only operational member of its class currently in preservation will also be in service.

Trains Depart From Butterley At: TBC

Get off the train at Swanwick Junction and explore the Complex, where you will be able to visit Demonstration Signal Box, Victorian Railwayman’s Church and the Country Park. Other attractions may also be open.

Plus Deeley’s Tearooms at Swanwick Junction will be open serving hot and cold drinks, snacks, ice creams and sandwiches.
