Enjoy a fun-filled day out for the whole family as we run a Steam train following Timetable A.

This weekend will now feature Robert Stephenson and Hawthorns No15 “Eustace Forth providing plenty of sights, sounds, and smells that steam fans of all ages will love.

Step aboard our Heritage Mk1 carriages and relax together as you travel in comfort — the perfect place to sit back, spot the scenery, and enjoy some quality family time.

Whether you’re introducing little ones to steam for the first time or reliving fond railway memories, it’s a great adventure for all generations..

Hop off the train at Swanwick Junction and explore our Site , packed with things to see and do for all ages.

Discover the Victorian Railwayman’s Church, step back in time in the West Shed Experience, and explore the Road Transport BuildingStationary Power House & Golden Valley Light Railway. Younger visitors can let off steam in the kids’ play area, while families can enjoy a stroll around the Country Park.

Other buildings may also be open on the day, all subject to volunteer availability.

Deeley’s Tearooms at Swanwick Junction will also be open, serving a selection of hot and cold drinks, snacks, ice creams, and sandwiches — perfect for a relaxing break during your visit.

Please note: Free Parking and entrance are at Butterley station. Swanwick Junction Station is not accessible with vehicles
